IN BUYING A PAINTING YOU ARE CONTRIBUTING TO HELP YOUNG ARTISTS

TO BECOME LEADERS THROUGH ART
ARTISTS FROM KIANGURE SPRINGS ENVIRONMENT INITIATIVE, KENYA
PNMW is proud to support International mural projects in Africa and Haiti. PNMW provides funding to local
initiatives to employ artists to design and paint murals on school walls while engaging and educating children
about their environment and future.

In 2010 PNMW supported Kiangure Springs Environment Initiative (KSEI) in Kenya, with the funding of one mural
for the Giakanja Primary School of Tetu. As of September 2, 2012, PNMW has funded 10 more murals in Kenya and
successfully implemented the program in Chad where we now have six murals in different schools of N'Djamena.

A word from Joram Mathenge, Coordinator of the Kiangure Springs Environment Initiative in Kenya:

Between 10th and 15th September 2012, we organized ‘ART FOR SOCIAL CHANGE EXHIBITION’. The mural painting and exhibition was facilitated by Kiangure Springs Environment Initiative (KSEI) and included over 20 artists who presented their talents in various ways including theatre.  Artists from KSEI were supported with funds Donated by Painting a New World from Canada where we provided them with art materials and upkeep during the exhibition. The artists were using their creative talents to address the various social issues e.g. Corruption, Peace, Climate change, governance etc

KSEI is grateful for the continued support from PNWM and looks forward to continued partnership in year 2013.  Your financial support has helped our program to grow together with our artists. They have transformed their community through their mural work. They have also earned a living and improved their financial status.  As result they have become leaders in their own communities and are regarded as opinion leaders. The program has created a big impact in this part of the world since art has a lasting impact.

We thank Andre and Agnes for their wonderful vision and pray that you continue to transform the lives of upcoming artists in the developing world.

PNMW is pleased to display and sell the students` creative works of art. Art is a powerful economic tool that can generate a sustainable source of income that helps break the cycle of poverty.
